THE LEADER OF the British Labour Party was egged for the second time in just over a year while on the campaign trail in London earlier today.

The leader of the opposition was pelted with a number of eggs while meeting people in East Street Market, in Walworth, south London earlier today.

The egg thrower was apprehended by security staff as Miliband continued to meet and greet the public as he stepped up his party’s efforts to criticise the government over the rising cost of living in Britain.

His leadership of Labour has been beset by problems, primarily the criticism that he has not yet defined what or who the party stands for nor what sort of policies it will campaign on at the next election in less than two years time.

Miliband, who beat his brother David to the leadership of the party three years ago, was also pelted with eggs while campaigning in Southampton in May 2012.
