Elaine O'Hara laid to rest in private funeral

The Dublin woman was tragically found dead more than a year after she was reported missing.

THE FAMILY OF Elaine O’Hara have buried the 36-year-old Dublin woman in a private ceremony.

In a message on RIP.ie, they said that Elaine was “very sadly missed” by her “heartbroken father Frank, sister Ann, brothers Frank and John, brother-in-law Mark, sister-in-law Aisling, her adored goddaughter Sheila, extended family and many friends”.

The family thanked people for their “understanding, kindness and continued support”.

Elaine O’Hara, who was a childcare assistant, was last seen by members of her family in August 2012. On 13 September 2013, her remains were discovered at Kilakee in the Dublin mountains.

Within weeks, Graham Dwyer (41) an architect from Dublin’s Foxrock area, was charged with Elaine O’Hara’s murder.

He is to stand trial in April 2015.
