Elderly woman falls to her death while cleaning windows

Gardaí confirmed the woman, who was in her 80s, was cleaning her window sill when she fell.

A WOMAN IN her 80s fell to her death from a Dublin apartment block last night as she cleaned her window sill.

Gardaí and Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene at Avondale House on North Cumberland Street at about 9pm. The woman was brought to the Mater Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

It is understood she fell from the fourth floor of Apartment Block B of the city centre complex.

The tragic death has been filed as a ‘sudden death’ and a file prepared for the coroner.
