7,000 without power after bad weather brings electricity lines down

ESB Network crews will go out at first light this morning to assess the damage and work to restore power.

SEVEN THOUSAND ESB customers are still without power after bad weather brought down electricity lines.

This morning, a spokesperson for the ESB said that unfortunately 7000 of its customers are still without power, and the majority of those are in west Donegal and south Galway.

He said that the damage was caused by fallen trees and poles being brought down by high winds overnight.

ESB Network crews are due to go out at first light to assess damage and carry out repairs where needed in order to restore power.

Customers can also check where power is out using the ESB power check website.
