Extraordinary Photo of Venus Crossing the Sun of the Day

The transit of the planet Venus across the face of the sun is an almost once in a lifetime event that was captured back in 2004 and will be visible again this coming week.

THIS EXTRAORDINARY PHOTO from NASA shows the rare event known as the Venus Transit showing the planet crossing the face of the sun in 2004.

It’s a timely image because this Tuesday NASA informs us that sky enthusiasts are “abuzz” which the upcoming Venus Transit event, an event that only happens twice ever 100 years.
