'Fat Freddie' Thompson arrested in Dublin city centre

The gangster was stopped in a car and arrested under drugs legislation.

GANGSTER ‘FAT FREDDIE’ Thompson was arrested last night by gardaí in Dublin city centre.

Sources told TheJournal.ie that Thompson was stopped by gardaí in the inner city in a car with a number of other people.

Gardaí have confirmed a man in his 30s was arrested under the Misuse of Drugs act near Cork Street at 10.30pm last night.

He was brought to Kevin Street garda station for questioning and was later released without charge.
