Driver, 23, killed in crash at M11 Loughlinstown

Part of the road was closed to facilitate an examination of the scene, but has reopened.

A 23-YEAR-OLD man has died following a single-vehicle crash on the M11 at Loughlinstown at around 9am today.

The man was fatally injured when the car he was driving struck a pole. He was taken to St Columcille’s Hospital in Loughlinstown but was pronounced dead a short time later.

He was the only occupant of the vehicle.

Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses to contact Shankill Garda Station on 01 666 5900, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
