Man in his 20s dies after car collides with lorry

The crash happened in Cork at around 11.30am this morning. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A MAN IN his 20s has died after the car he was driving collided with a lorry in Cork.

The crash happened on the road between Parkanna Crossroad and Davis Cross at around 11.30am.

The man, who was the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the lorry was uninjured.

The road is currently closed to allow for a forensic examination of the scene to be carried out.

Gardaí in Blarney are investigating and have asked for any witnesses to contact Gurranabraher Garda Station on 0021-4946200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
