Former Fianna Fáil councillor appears before court in Cork

A FORMER FIANNA Fáil councillor has been ordered to appear before the District Court in Cork again next month.

Gary O’Flynn appeared this morning after being arrested on charges of committing fraud.

He has been released on bail and is set to appear in court one again on 18 February.

It has been reported locally that O’Flynn, with a residence in Whitechurch, Co Cork, was arrested this morning in Cork city before being taken to Anglesea Street Garda station to be charged.

O’Flynn had previously been elected to the Cork City Council as a Fianna Fáil representative in 2003.
