Two men charged over filling station robbery

A woman was also arrested after the armed robbery on Thursday evening, though a third man managed to escape.

TWO MEN APPEARED in court this morning charged in relation to a robbery at a filling station in Cork City on Thursday evening.

Two masked men armed to knives had held up staff at the service station on Leitrim Street at around 8.20pm. They stole a quantity of cash and left in a car driven by a man with a female passenger.

Gardaí later stopped a car and arrested three people – a woman and two men. Another man escaped on foot.

A 27-year-old man and 33-year-old man both appeared at Cork City District Court today charged in connection with the robbery.
