Armed man escapes with cash stolen from Finglas property

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the armed robbery.

A MAN ARMED  held up a cash-in-transit worker at a Finglas business yesterday afternoon.

At about 2.50pm, the raider entered a premises on Sycamore Road carrying what was believed to be a handgun and approached the employee. He made off with the deposit box of cash in the direction of a waiting vehicle.

Gardaí found that car later in the day on the Willow Park Road. No arrests have been made and gardaí have appealed for anyone with information to call the local station on 01 666 7500.
