Man seriously injured after being hit by a car that was fleeing a robbery

The driver then ran into a field and is still at large.

A MAN IS being hunted by gardaí after a pedestrian was seriously injured by a car fleeing an attempted robbery.

Gardaí in Finglas are being assisted by the Garda Air Support helicopter after the incident which happened in Kilshane Cross, Finglas at 10.50am this morning.

Gardaí say one man was attempting to steal items from a delivery van when he was disturbed by the van driver. While fleeing the scene in a car, the man hit a male pedestrian, who was seriously injured and taken to hospital.

The driver then ran into a field and is still at large.
