Fiona Doyle's mother arrested in relation to abuse investigation

Breda O’Brien was released without charge this afternoon.

THE MOTHER OF Fiona Doyle was arrested today and held at Shankill Garda Station for questioning.

Breda O’Brien, in her late 60s, was arrested in relation to an ongoing investigation into historical abuse, under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Historical abuse investigation 

She was later released without charge.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.

Fiona Doyle’s father, Patrick O’Brien, is serving a nine year jail sentence, with three years suspended, for 16 counts of rape and indecent assault of his daughter.
