Eight people rescued from Dublin house fire

Some of those rescued are being treated for smoke inhalation.

EIGHT PEOPLE HAVE been rescued from a house fire in Dublin city.

The fire broke out at the house on Mountjoy Square early this morning.

Dublin Fire Brigade has dispatched eight pumps, two ambulances, a rescue ladder and an incident command unit to the area.

Eight people were rescued and a search for further occupants is being carried out.

Five of those rescued are being taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.
