BURNING A SPIDER with a lighter is probably never a good idea.

That is especially true if you happen to find yourself in a petrol station.

This one individual from Center Line in Michigan didn’t follow this logic.

Seeing a spider near the petrol cap of his car, he attempts to set it on fire, before the station around him quickly catches alight.

Speaking to Fox 2 News, an employee at the petrol station said the man quickly grabbed a nearby fire extinguisher and put the flames out before firefighters arrived at the scene.

Somehow, the man’s car manage to escape unscathed from the incident and any damage to the petrol station is expected to be covered by its insurance.

The video has gone viral since the incident happened over the weekend.
