PICTURES: Fire services attend blaze in Ranelagh restaurant

Gardaí say they do not believe anyone was harmed in the fire.

EMERGENCY SERVICES ARE attending a fire at Wong’s Chinese restaurant in Ranelagh, Dublin.

Six units of the Dublin Fire Brigade and three senior officers are currently dealing with the blaze at the building on Sandford Road which also contains a solicitors offices upstairs.

A garda spokesperson said they did not believe that anyone was harmed in the fire.

Traffic diversions are in place between Marlborough Road and Sallymount Avenue due to the fire and gardaí are advising motorists to avoid the area if possible until it is contained.

Dublin Bus has also said that the number 44 and 61 buses are not serving Ranelagh until further notices and are diverted through Eglington Road and Morehampton Road in both directions.
