The foggy weather is causing flight disruption and it's likely to last until the morning

Dublin Airport and UK airports are reporting delays.

HEAVY FOG AROUND Dublin and Cork Airports as well as in the UK is affecting flights coming in and going out of the country.

Met Éireann had earlier issued a fog warning for a number of areas in the country and, although this is no longer in place, air travel is being affected.

Dublin Airport says that the dense fog is affecting their schedule this evening and that the disruption could run into tomorrow morning.

The airport’s advice to passengers is to contact their airline’s website for the latest updates regarding their flight before coming to the airport.

A number of UK airports have also been giving similar advice to passengers.

Heathrow Airport says that the airport is open but that flight disruptions and slow operations should be expected because of the fog.
