You even get your very own waterfall…

AS PRETTY AS Ireland is in May, there’s always the perennial problem with the weather. Yes, it’s warmer than it was but it’s still not that warm.

If you’re looking for a way to solve this, we’ve got the perfect solution. This 100-acre island off the coast of Florida is up for sale for a mere €22 million.

What do you get for your money, you might ask? Good question. As well as the Spanish-style home on the island which was built in 1928 and where Thomas Edison once stayed, you get your own waterfall, your own beach and, less expectedly, a mini-museum dedicated to Charles Burgess, the American inventor who founded one of the first battery companies and originally owned the house. Because hey, why not.
