Four arrested in €360,000 Donegal drug bust

A woman in her 60s is among those that have been arrested.

GARDAÍ IN DONEGAL have arrested three women and a man after a €360,000 cannabis seizure in Ballybofey, Co Donegal today.

The arrests were made, gardaí say, as part of an ongoing investigation targeting cannabis cultivation in Donegal. This evening’s search was conducted by members of the Letterkenny Drugs Unit.

Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €360,000 were discovered, along with other items made and adapted for the growth and cultivation of cannabis, during a search at a premises on Navenny St., Ballybofey, this evening.

A man aged in his 30s, and three women, two in their 20s and one in her 60s were arrested.

They are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Letterkenny Garda Station.
