Four dead after Co Offaly collision

All four of the deceased were aged in their 20s and travelling in the same vehicle.

FOUR MEN HAVE died following a traffic collision on the R420 Tullamore to Geashill Road this evening.

The men, all aged in their 20s, were pronounced dead at the scene after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a mini-bus at approximately 5.30pm.

The three occupants of the mini bus were taken to the MidlandRegional Hospital in Tullamore with injuries described as not life threatening.

The R420 is currently closed outside of Tullamore pending the completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí wish to appeal for witnesses to contact Tullamore Garda Station on 057-9327600, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
