Poll: Would you oppose plans for fracking in your area?

Farmers in Leitrim are mounting a campaign to oppose the practice.

LANDOWNERS IN LEITRIM have launched a new campaign to block a fracking study in their area.

They believe it could be an attempt to introduce hydraulic fracturing into the area, and are concerned over the environmental impact.

Those behind the research say it is purely academic, and the area is unsuitable for fracking work. However, the fears of the local community remain.

We want to know what you think: Would you oppose plans for fracking in your area?

Poll Results:

Yes (6270)
No (1338)
I don't know (431)
