Weather warning for eight counties as temperatures set to drop as low as minus four

The warning will come into effect at 7pm this evening and will be valid until 10am tomorrow morning.

MET ÉIREANN HAS issued a low temperature warning for eight counties tonight.

The status yellow warning is for Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.

Temperatures in these counties are expected to fall to between minus two and minus four degrees.

The warning will come into effect at 7pm this evening and will be valid until 10am tomorrow morning.
