Friday the 13th was lucky for this Dublin man who won half a million euro

The man said today the money will be life-changing for him and takes a burden off his shoulders.

UNLUCKY FOR SOME, Friday the 13th brought a massive win for one Dublin man this year.

The man bought a Quick Pick online for the EuroMillions draw last Friday and won the top prize of €500,000. He collected his cheque at the National Lottery Offices today.

Celebrating his win with a glass of champagne, the man said it is “life-changing” for him and takes a burden off his shoulders.

“It’s just so unexpected. I woke up last Saturday morning and logged in to my online account to see wht I’d won. I kept counting all the zeros – it was amazing. I’m over the moon!”

The lucky winner has played EuroMillions for several years but said he just switched to playing online a few months ago.
