Careful now: There's frost and ice on the roads this morning

So, it’s definitely winter now.

OH YES, WINTER has arrived alright.

Met Éireann has warned of frost and fog patches early this morning, so take care if you are heading out on the roads.

Overnight temperatures dropped to -3 degrees Celsius and there is ice on some untreated roads:

Already this morning, there have been two reported collisions on the roads

The rest of the day will be “rather cool” according to Met Éireann with highest temperatures between 6 and 9 degrees Celsius. Tonight we’ll have some scattered showers in places and the fog, frost and ice will be back on the roads.
