Five arrested as gardaí target burglars in the west

During the arrests a large quantity of power tools were also seized.

FIVE PEOPLE ARE being held at a number of garda stations in Galway in connection with a spate of robberies in the west of the country.

Last night’s arrests were made in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin by a number of garda units including the Emergency Response Unit.

In total four man aged between 25-30 years were arrested along with one woman in her mid-20s.

During the arrests a large quantity of power tools were also seized.

The five are being held at at Galway, Loughrea and Tuam Garda Stations.
