Look at all the alcohol gardaí seized from a shebeen in Galway

Gardaí said shebeens like this one represent unfair competition for pubs who are operating lawfully.

GARDAÍ IN GALWAY raided a shebeen on Friday night and came out with this massive haul of booze.

The alcohol seizure include a significant amount of beer and cider as well as bottles of rum, gin, brandy and vodka. In a follow-up tweet, gardaí said prosecution of those involved will follow.

“Needless to say drink is securely stored in the meantime!”

They also said shebeens like the one in Galway represent “unfair competition for pubs etc in the area, who are employing staff, operating legally”.
