Female garda arrested as part of drugs investigation released without charge

The Dublin-based garda was arrested in Sligo along with another man

A FEMALE MEMBER of An Garda Síochána arrested yesterday as part of an investigation into illegal drugs has been released without charge.

She was suspended from duty earlier today.

The woman in her 30s is a Dublin-based garda and was arrested yesterday at 6.30 pm along with another, a man also in his 30s.

He has also been released without charge from Sligo Garda Station.

The arrests were carried out by local gardaí who were supported by a national garda unit.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.
