Garda injured during Waterford incident

Gardaí were responding to a call about an alleged assault yesterday when the injury occurred.

A GARDA WAS injured when members of the force responded to a call about an alleged assault in Waterford yesterday.

Gardaí were responding to a call to an alleged assault at 2pm on 11 September when the injury occurred.

During the incident, a male was arrested and is currently being detained at Waterford Garda station.

A Garda Síochána member was treated for injuries at Waterford Regional Hospital as a result of the incident.
