Young man killed in one-car collision in Louth last night

Gardaí in Dundalk are appealing for witnesses.

A YOUNG MAN has died in a single-vehicle collision in Co Louth late last night.

Gardaí and Emergency Services were called to the scene of a single car collision at 2.20am at Ballybinaby near Hackballscross.

The 23-year-old occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. His body has since been removed to the mortuary at Louth County Hospital.

The scene of the collision is preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local traffic diversions are in place.

Investigating gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at Dundalk Garda Station 042-9388400 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
