Garda Traffic being gas on Twitter exchange of the day

When asked why they’d pulled a young lad over in 1952, the guards were ready.

IT IS WELL known how brilliant we think the Garda Traffic Twitter account is.

Their offbeat, informal nature of dealing with queries have made it a must-follow.

Today, they were at it again.

The brilliant Photos of Dublin account which tweets, well, photos of the capital tweeted this image:

They playfully wanted to know why the young lad had been pulled over. To which the guards responded.

The guards later said that the driver may also have had a mobile phone.

And while they are definitely gas characters, there’s not much to be said for their response times. Despite the picture being indentified as having been taken in 1952, Garda Traffic says investigations are ongoing.
