Gardaí renew appeal for info over fatal shooting of Jamie Tighe Ennis

Ennis was shot in the early hours of Saturday morning.

GARDAÍ IN COOLOCK have renewed their appeal for information on the murder of Jamie Tighe Ennis, who was fatally shot yesterday in Dublin.

The 24-year-old man from the Timbermill Apartments Artane was shot on Moatview Avenue, Priorswood in the early hours of Saturday morning. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí are particularly keen for information on the vehicle used in the shooting.

They are urging anyone who seen a black Audi A3, registration number 00-OY-5067 during the period of 11pm on Friday evening to 4am Saturday morning to come forward.

They are particularly keen to speak to people who may have seen the car in the general areas of Clonshaugh, Priorswood, the M50, Finglas Road, the Griffith and Fairlawn Estate in Finglas.

Drivers with dash cams, and taxi drivers who may have been in the area, are being asked to come forward if they have information.

It is understood that Ennis was known to gardaí – he had a number of convictions, including several firearms offences. The killing is not believed to be connected to the Hutch-Kinahan feud.

Anyone with information can call Coolock Garda Station on 01 666 4200, or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
