Woman arrested after Dublin woman stabbed in the neck in Drumcondra

The attack happened on Tuesday evening when the woman was walking home.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a woman after another woman was mugged and stabbed multiple times in Drumcondra on Tuesday evening.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was arrested in Dublin shortly before 10pm last night.

The victim received a number of stab wounds when she was attacked and robbed on Lower Drumcondra Road. An on-duty garda found her slumped against a wall after 6pm.

She was then taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment of her injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

The woman who was arrested in connection with the investigation is currently being held at Mountjoy Garda Station.
