Gardaí identify bodies found in burnt-out car near Dundalk

Anthony Burnett, 31, and Joseph Redmond, 25, were identified after DNA tests were carried out on their remains.

GARDAÍ HAVE NAMED the two men whose bodies were found inside a burnt-out car near Dundalk, Co Louth last Wednesday night.

Anthony Burnett, 31, and Joseph Redmond, 25, were identified after DNA tests were carried out on their remains.

They had both died as a result of gun shots wounds before the car was set on fire in Ravensdale Park.

The two men, who Gardaí believe were killed as part of a gang-related feud over illegal drugs businesses, were from the Ballybough area of Dublin’s inner city.
