Gardaí investigating Dublin kidnap

There has been a report of an assault and kidnap of a male in East Wall on Thursday afternoon.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are investigating a possible assault and kidnap of a man yesterday afternoon.

Store Street Garda Station received a report of the assault and kidnapping on Russell Avenue at East Wall on Thursday at 4.45pm.

It is alleged that the male was bundled into a car, which then left the scene. Gardaí have described the car as a black, 4-door saloon Volkswagen Golf with an “05-D” registration. Witnesses also said that there was a spoiler on the rear, spoked wheels and tinted windows.

Gardaí at Store Street say they are “very concerned” for the man and are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the vehicle in the vicinity at about 4.45pm yesterday.

They are also appealing for anyone with any other information to contact the incident room on 01 666 8089 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
