Gardaí seize €2.25 million worth of heroin in Dublin

One man has been arrested after the major drugs seizure was made in Lucan in Dublin yesterday evening.

ONE MAN HAS been arrested after Gardaí seized heroin with an estimated street value of €2.25 million from a house in Dublin.

The 37-year-old is being detained at Clondalkin Garda station after the seizure was made as part of an ongoing operation into gangs in the area.

Gardaí from the Clondalkin Drug Unit carried out the search at the house on Mount Andrew Court in Lucan yesterday evening. Around 15 kilos of heroin was found in the house during the search.

The man is being held at Clondalkin Garda Station under section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act 1996.
