Gardaí seize €440,000 worth of drugs

A 42-year-old man was arrested as a result of the seizure at Tallaght in Dublin.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are questioning a man over a seizure of drugs this afternoon.

The 42-year-old man is being detained at Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

He was stopped by members of the Garda National Drug Unit while driving a van at Blessington Road in Tallaght at 2.15pm today.

A search of the vehicle revealed 20,000 Dalmane tablets and 180,000 Zopiclone tablets.

Gardaí said the drugs have a street value of about €440,000.
