Mother seen pushing her 11-year-old son in front of Hamburg train

The woman is now being assessed at a psychiatric hospital.

AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy in Germany was seriously injured after his mother allegedly pushed him in front of a moving train.

According to local reports, the boy lost a foot when the train rolled over him. However he is now in stable condition in hospital.

According to Deutche Welle, CCTV footage and eyewitness reports indicate the 31-year-old mother of the boy had pushed him onto the tracks at the underground station in Hamburg.

The woman is believed to suffer from mental health problems and police have referred her to a psychiatric hospital to determine whether she can be held accountable for her actions.
