It's official: Gilmore Girls is coming back on Netflix

The girls are back for at least four 90 minute shows.

NETFLIX HAS CONFIRMED it is reviving the Gilmore Girls – which won legions of fans more than a decade ago depicting the exploits of a thirty-something mother and her teenage daughter.

The show’s stars – Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore and Alexis Bledel, who played her daughter Rory – will also be back.

Graham confirmed the show’s revival – and her return as its star – on Twitter late yesterday:

The Twitter post also showed a copy of Graham holding a lavender jacket with lettering that read “Property of Gilmore Girls Costume” department.

The popular show, which aired 150 episodes from 2000 to 2007, will see actors Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Sean Gunn (Kirk) and Keiko Agena (Lane) return as well.

Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino will oversee the new programme, although Netflix has given no details about the name of the new show, its filming schedule or when fans can expect it to go online.

The latest episodes will be in miniseries format, with four 90-minute shows, Variety magazine said, citing sources.

The original episodes were in standard TV-series format.

@john howard: If you are bald, what haircut were you expecting to get?

@john howard: On the bright side, the rest of us have to wash our hair after going to the chemist. You get to save time there!

Fascinating research, who would have thought… having serious cardiovascular condition increases your risk when contracting another serious condition.

So have I got this right? People with high blood pressure might run out of their necessary medication because they’re reluctant to go out and expose themselves to the virus?

But going short of them puts you at higher risk.
So it makes sense to get what you need – even if it means asking the chemist or the Guards to drop your blood pressure pills off for you to save you going out.
