Gardaí hunt for gunman after shooting at Glasnevin hotel

Nobody was injured when a lone man fired rounds at the door of the hotel.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are investigating a shooting incident at Glasnevin in the early hours of this morning.

A lone male approached the Sunny Bank Hotel on Botanic Road at about 3.30am and fired shots at the front door of the building.

The gunman escaped on foot towards St Mobhi Road. No arrests were made and there were no injuries reported during the shooting.

Gardaí have sealed off the area for a technical examination. An appeal for witnesses to pass information to local gardaí has been issued.
