This gorilla and a kitten becoming best friends is beyond adorable

Awwwwwww!

KITTENS ARE PRETTY much the best birthday present you can get, even if you’re gorilla. In fact, especially if you’re a gorilla.

Koko celebrated her 44th birthday in July and was presented with a whole box full of them.

The gorilla is part of a 40 year study into interspecies communication and is known for learning American Sign Language.

But this video is less about interspecies communication and more about interspecies love.

Particularly love between Koko and one of the kittens called Ms. Gray. Koko picks the tiny feline out the box and the two try to figure each other out.

That is until Ms. Black comes along and tries to demand Koko’s attention.

But the giant ape only has eyes for Ms. Gray. She even uses sign language to ask her handlers to place the kitten on her head.

As you do.
