SHE MIGHT LOOK harmless, but she’s 25ft tall, so we don’t recommend crossing her.

She’s the 85-year-old Grandma Giant, and she’s been wandering around Limerick since yesterday.

She’s roaming the streets until tomorrow as part of the biggest event of Limerick City of Culture 2014, bringing with her a team of ‘lilliputians’ who’ve been guiding her on her way.

Everywhere the giant granny has gone, people have followed. She arrived at Colbert Station yesterday morning, and since then Grandma Giant has been investigating Limerick.

Around 200,000 people are expected to view Grandma Giant over the weekend, so if you’re visiting the city, make sure to check the routes and road closures on www.royaldeluxelimerick.ie

The giant grandmother has been welcomed with banners, giant cakes, a giant scarf and even giant bloomers, which is rather cute indeed.
