Three machine guns, a handgun and heroin worth €360k seized in Dublin

A man has been arrested following the discovery in Ballyfermot.

THE GARDA DRUG unit have seized three sub machine guns, a handgun, ammunition, along with a large quantity of heroin, cocaine and cash in Dublin.

One man, aged 39, has been arrested.

Car searched 

Following the search of a vehicle gardaí had stopped in Clondalkin, the drug unit searched a house in the Ballyfermot area on Monday.

The search led to the seizure of three kilos of cocaine and one kilo of heroin with an estimated value of €360,000.

The man arrested remains in Garda custody at Clondalkin Garda Station detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Gardaí said investigations are on-going.
