On this night in 1997 you were listening to... Hanson

A Friday flashback to get your weekend started…

OH, HANSON. HOW young teens adored you.

With your long flowing locks, barely-broken voices,  brotherly charm and cute songs, it was no surprise your debut single Mmmbop - despite its nonsensical lyrics – made it to number one in almost every country it was released in (it only went to number four in France).

These days, the Hanson lads are not only fathers of lots of children, but also found the time to release 10 albums AND tour worldwide. We think they might be robots or something.

Even if you claim “But I was listening to the Pastels’ ‘Illumination’ in 1997, in between reading issues of Melody Maker and growing my obscure band t-shirt collection”, there’s no way you avoided this number one single in May and June 1997.

So just give into the nostalgia and reminisce along with us.

Don’t worry, it’s our little secret.

You’ll never guess what Hanson (!) called their new beer*>
