Irish plumber charged after £200 million London jewel heist

AN IRISH-BORN man is among eight who have been charged with conspiracy to burgle following the £200 million jewel, gold and cash heist in London last month.

48-year-old Hugh Doyle, with an address in Enfield in Middlesex, is a plumber originally from Dublin according to the Press Association.

Doyle is the youngest of the eight men who have been charged with their ages ranging from 48 to 76.

Sky News yesterday broadcast Youtube footage of Doyle in which he demonstrated work he has done as a plumber.

In another interview published online, Doyle is seen discussing his work.

Police say they have recovered most of the valuable property stolen in the Hatton Garden robbery.

The eight men charged have been arrested over the past couple of days.

Met Police say they have been remanded in custody and will appear before Westminster Magistrates Court later today.

The other men are named as Terry Perkins (67), John Collins (74), Daniel Jones (58), Hugh Doyle (48), William Lincoln (59), Brian Reader (76) Paul Reader (50), Carl Wood (58).
