Here's Queen Elizabeth having the chats with Niall Horan and other Irish folk

The reception is believed to be a warm-up for the state visit of President Michael D Higgins next month.

QUEEN ELIZABETH HELD a party for the Irish community in Buckingham Palace today, where hundreds of Irish representatives were welcomed.

Those in attendance included Ruby Walsh, Pat O’Connell of Cork’s English Market, One Direction’s Niall Horan and Louis Walsh.

The reception is believed to be a warm-up for the state visit of President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina to Britain next month.
