24-year-old due in court over hijacked taxi crash

A second man who was in the car at the time of the crash died of his injuries yesterday morning.

A 24-YEAR-old man is due in court over a collision involving a hijacked taxi.

The taxi was hijacked on Sunday morning and two men were in the car at the time it struck a pole on Mount Brown in Dublin.

One man in his 20s was fatally injured and the second – a 24-year-old – was arrested following the incident.

Gardaí said today that this man will appear before a sitting of Dublin District Court tomorrow morning charged in connection with the investigation.
