Appeal for witnesses to potential hit-and-run that left motorcyclist seriously injured

The incident occurred near the road works on the L3132, St Margaret’s Road, Swords.

GARDAÍ ARE RENEWING their appeal for witnesses to a serious road traffic crash which left a man seriously injured.

The incident occurred near the road works on the L3132, St Margaret’s Road, Swords in the early hours of Sunday, 10 September.

A motorcyclist remains in a serious condition in hospital. Gardaí say that their investigations to date suggest that another vehicle may have been involved. That vehicle did not remain at the scene.

Speaking at Coolock Garda Station this morning, Superintendent Gerry Donnelly said:

“Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses who may have travelled this stretch of road between 3am and 4am on Sunday, 10 September to contact them at Swords Garda Station on 01-6664700, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.”
