Man in serious condition following hit and run in Dublin

The victim was transferred from Trinity Lane to the Mater hospital.

A MAN IN his 30s is in a serious condition in hospital following a hit and run in Dublin.

At about 1pm today, a car struck the pedestrian while he walked on Trinity Lane, just off the Clonliffe Road.

The vehicle failed to stop after the collision.

Gardaí have confirmed that the man was on temporary release from prison and may have been targeted intentionally.

The car was later found burnt out on Stoney Road in East Wall.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact them at Fitzgibbon Street station on 01 666 8400.
