Fancy views like this on your doorstep? Well, one Aucklander's looking for a house-swap...

Oh, did we mention the deal includes use of a yacht?

GREAT NEIGHBOURS, ABUNDANT fruit trees and use of a yacht are being promised as some of the perks available, should you sign-up to a house-swap arrangement with ‘Eoghan’ in New Zealand.

The Auckland resident has posted an ad on Daft.ie looking for a year-long deal. He’s hoping to move into a house in the Dublin or Wicklow area from January next. According to the posting:

We have a fine 3 bed house, GAS/ELECTRICITY for cooking & heating

Great neighbours and fully fenced garden – loads of fruit trees. 15 minutes to train station, 5 minutes to Southern/Western Motorway.

And if you’re confident you have the sailing chops to handle a vessel of its size, Eoghan says the deal “could include use of a 28ft yacht, which is moored 15 minutes away in Halfmoon Bay”.

The house is located close to One Tree Hill (pictured above) – a 182 metre volcanic peak which is sacred to the indigenous Maoiri people. The landmark also provided the inspiration for a famous U2 song, which featured on 1987′s ‘The Joshua Tree’…
