Human remains found in Dublin Mountains

Gardaí are investigating after a walker found skeletal remains on a mountain in Rathfarnham last night.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING after human skeletal remains were found in Dublin.

The find was made by a member of the public walking on Kilakee Mountain in Rathfarnham at around 7.30pm last night.

The scene is preserved for a technical examination and the Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis is expected to attend the scene later today.

The services of a forensic anthropologist have also been requested, Gardaí said.

No further information is available pending the completion of a post-mortem examination.
